Coaches Development Program

The Coaches Development Program is one of the most innovative features of the Jay Bilas Skills Camp. If you are an aspiring men's or women's college basketball coach who is currently working as a collegiate student manager, high school coach, college basketball student-athlete, or small college assistant, and looking to gain valuable real-world experience, we would love to have you participate in our Coaches Development Program.

This program is a working clinic for coaches who want hands-on coaching experience from Jay Bilas and a team top collegiate coaches. Each participant in the Coaches Development Program will be assigned to a Camp Head Coach and assist with all facets of that coach’s station work, small group teaching, and 5-on-5 teaching. Coaches Development Program attendees will also assist with check-in, check-out, and dorm supervision throughout the week.

In addition, participants will gain invaluable insight through daily “Lunch and Learn Chalk Talks” and “Dinner with Coach” sessions with camp coaches. These teaching opportunities allow participants to learn both the X’s and O’s of the game from experienced coaches and pick the brains of some of the best minds in college basketball over meals. At the end of camp, participants will not only have new friends and references in the basketball business, but also come away with a series of new drills, plays, and practical concepts.

The fee for the Young Coaches Clinic is $350 and includes housing for 3 nights in the university dorms, meals all 3 days of camp, camp coaches' gear, USA Basketball Coaches' License, and all participation/instructional materials. Please note: It is required that all participants in the Coaches Development program be available June 7-10 in Charlotte, NC.

Space is limited to 30 participants for the Coaches Development Program.
